Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Payments team.

Your role will be to support the analysis and design of key initiatives within the payments domain, working on topics such as payment flows, payment platforms and regulatory changes. You will contribute to payment transformation initiatives, translating business needs into functional requirements and supporting the implementation of solutions, while continuing to grow and deepen your expertise within the payments environment.

 

Responsibilities:

    • Gather, analyse and document business requirements related to payment processing systems and payment initiatives
    • Map and analyse end-to-end payment flows (SEPA, SWIFT, instant payments, direct debits, etc.)
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners and IT teams to translate business needs into functional specifications
    • Support solution design by validating requirements and ensuring alignment with payment systems and platforms
    • Conduct impact assessments for new initiatives, regulatory changes or system upgrades
    • Coordinate and support functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
    • Ensure solutions comply with industry standards such as ISO 20022 and PSD2
    • Support documentation, training and knowledge transfer to business and operational teams
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of payment processes and systems

Profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within payments environments
  • Strong understanding of payment schemes and instruments (SEPA CT/DD, SCT Inst, SWIFT MT/MX, cards or wallets)
  • Experience analysing payment processes, payment flows and payment systems
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence
  • Fluent in English and (French or Dutch)

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ISO 20022 migration or instant payments implementation
  • Exposure to PSP integrations, e-commerce acquiring or open banking APIs
  • Knowledge of payment engines or clearing platforms
